Brienna Kightlinger is an Ed.M. candidate in Education Policy & Management at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. After graduating from Wellesley College in 2016, Brienna moved home to Minnesota to work as an early childhood educator. She also assisted with research on teacher preparation programs that foster community-family-school engagement. Now back in Massachusetts, she spends most of her time studying teacher preparation and evaluation policies. She is interested in learning how the teaching profession will respond to phenomena such as the growing prominence of alternative certification routes and recent judicial rulings affecting unions. In her spare time, she likes to go on runs, cool down, and then eat large amounts of Thai food.
