Critical thinking and questioning are foundational skills that too often are not prioritized in the classroom among other social institutions. However, one simple shift can turn stagnant situations into actively engaging environments. In this month’s Educational Leadership, our directors Dan Rothstein and Luz Santana share how The Question Formulation Technique can make that shift.
In this example, Julie used the technique in her 2nd Grade class and through reflections it was clear that students learned much from the open, communal environment.
